Viewing the constantly growing challenges in everyday life and society, many people feel paralyzed from time to time. 

Despite all these obstacles and inhibitions, we should preserve and strengthen our ability to move and stay in motion. We are living in a world where the future generation – committing to sustainability and to be mobile and flexible – take the risk that the courage to find and stand up for one’s own positions will be compromised.

Our approach to the new demands on society is based on the desire to start independent processes of thought and action. This is a general requirement, and, of course, has to be pursued in drama/theatre work.

With the means of theatre, those who are moving (physically, mentally and emotionally) and those who want to stay in motion help themselves and their audience to a courageous togetherness of internalisation and reflection.

The 23rd Drama/Theater in Education Regional Conference uses English as the working language.

Structures for the 23rd conference are different from the last event: We are planning a hybrid event.

(1) a small number of participants will be able to physically experience all program items.

(2) the group of online participants will be connected to some of the program items, i.e. keynotes, discussions and selected workshop examples.

If you are an active member of IDEA Austria, AITA/IATA or IDEA International, if you come from a country with small GDP (Gross Domestic Product), please ask for reduction. Sorry, we cannot take travelling costs or give a scholarship. Please, ask your local associations or institutions to fund.

The contribution fees are calculated in such a way that no reduction is possible.

WE WANT TO MAKE YOU REMEMBER the drama / theatre in education Conference / Congress.
  • that we can NOT compare the Retzhof Castle Event to the digital meeting.
  • that the atmosphere of a live-event can not be reached in a digital event
  • that the online workshop can not fulfil the dreams you had 
  • that nothing can replace personal meetings
  • that a glass of vine does not taste that well alone in a room

I register (mandatorily) for the 23rd DRAMA / THEATRE in EDUCATION Regional Conference 2021.

    Cancellation Policy

    (1) E-Mail-Information

    Your e-mail address will only be used to send info mails about Drama/ theatre in Education – regional conference 2021 and offers relevant to your area of duty. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. You can object to receiving information about offers at any time – in response to this.   or

    I have taken note of the General Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy and register for the events selected above.

    (2) General Terms and Conditions

    Registration for the 23rd IDEA Drama / Theatre in Education Association Regional Conference 2021 must be made by email, (online form). You will receive a registration confirmation with the terms of payment.

    Your participation is considered to be firmly reserved once the conference fee has been paid. The conference fee does not include accommodation or travel expenses.

    (3) Conditions for Cancelling

    If no other payment model has been agreed upon, the entire conference fee is due at the latest two weeks after registration, then your place is secured. The bank transfer must be free of any encumbrances for the recipient / organizer.

    In case  of written cancellation up to 8 weeks before the start of the conference, the entire fee will be totally refunded; in case of written cancellation up to 4 weeks before the start of the conference, € 50,- will be retained for processing and organisation, thereafter 50% of the total costs will be retained.

    In case of cancellation from 17.3.2021 or later, the entire conference fee cannot be repaid.  However, you can nominate a substitute participant to take your place. We will accept this.

    No refund is possible if the participant cancels the Regional Conference through his own fault.

    Registration for accommodation / meals at the Bildungshaus Retzhof Castle can be made together with the registration for the Regional Conference. Costs for the Bildungshaus Retzhof Castle (room and board) must be paid separately on site.

    You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving reasons. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date of registration. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. an e-mail with the request of a reading confirmation). In order to comply with the revocation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of revocation before the end of the revocation period.

    If an event is not fully booked, the organizer reserves the right to postpone or cancel it, even at short notice. In this case paid fees will be refunded totally.

    If a trainer has to cancel for serious reasons, the organizers will look for a suitable replacement.

    Participation is of your own free will and in your own responsibility and requires normal mental and physical resilience. Any liability of the organizers beyond this is excluded.

    With your registration you agree to these conditions.




    Die Anmeldung für die 23rd IDEA Drama / Theatre in Education Association Regional Conference 2020 hat schriftlich (E-mail, Onlineformular) zu erfolgen. Sie erhalten von uns eine Anmeldebestätigung mit den Zahlungsbedingungen.

    Die Teilnahme gilt mit erfolgter Einzahlung des Konferenzbeitrages als fix reserviert. Im Konferenzbeitrag sind weder Nächtigung bzw. Aufenthalt noch Supervision oder Reisekosten enthalten.


    Wurde kein abweichendes Zahlungsmodell vereinbart, ist der gesamte Konferenzbeitrag spätestes zwei Wochen nach der Anmeldung fällig, dann ist der Platz verbindlich gesichert. Die Überweisung hat für den Empfänger / Veranstalter lastenfrei zu erfolgen.

    Bei schriftlichem Rücktritt bis spätestens 8 Wochen vor Conference-Beginn wird der gesamte Beitrag zurückgezahlt; bei schriftlichem Rücktritt bis 4 Wochen vor Conference-Beginn werden € 50,- für Bearbeitung und Organisation einbehalten, danach 50% der gesamten Kosten.

    Bei einer Abmeldung ab 17.3.2021 oder später muss der gesamte Conference-Beitrag einbehalten werden. Allerdings kann ein solcher Platz vom Teilnehmer an eine andere Person weitergegeben werden.

    Bei Abbruch der Regional Conference durch den Teilnehmer ist keine Rückvergütung möglich.

    Unterkunft und Verpflegung:

    Die Anmeldung für die Unterkunft / Verpflegung im Bildungshaus Schloss Retzhof kann gemeinsam mit der Anmeldung für die Regional Conference erfolgen. Kosten für das Bildungshaus Schloss Retzhof (Nächtigung und Verpflegung) sind extra vor Ort zu begleichen.


    Information zur Ausübung des Widerrufsrechts für im Fernabsatz geschlossene Verträge:

    Sie haben das Recht, binnen vierzehn Tagen ohne Angabe von Gründen diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen. Die Widerrufsfrist beträgt vierzehn Tage ab dem Datum der Anmeldung. Um Ihr Widerrufsrecht auszuüben müssen Sie uns mittels einer eindeutigen Erklärung (z.B. ein mit der Post versandter Brief, Telefax oder E-Mail) über Ihren Entschluss, diesen Vertrag zu widerrufen, informieren. Zur Wahrung der Widerrufsfrist reicht es aus, dass Sie die Mitteilung über die Ausübung des Widerrufrechts vor Ablauf der Widerrufsfrist, absenden.


    Rücktritt der Veranstalterin:

    Ist eine Veranstaltung nicht ausgebucht, behält sich die Veranstalterin das Recht vor, diese auch kurzfristig zu verschieben bzw. abzusagen. In diesem Fall werden bezahlte Gebühren zur Gänze rückerstattet.

    Muss ein Trainer/eine Trainerin aus schwerwiegenden Gründen absagen, wird von Seiten der Veranstalter ein passender Ersatz gesucht.

    Mit Ihrer Anmeldung erklären Sie sich mit diesen Bedingungen einverstanden.



    Die Teilnahme erfolgt aus freien Stücken und in eigener Verantwortung und setzt eine normale psychische und physische Belastbarkeit voraus. Eine darüber hinausgehende Haftung der Veranstalter ist ausgeschlossen.
